It was Sam and Charlie Habegger who took their practical farm experience into the world of construction in 1956. Brian and Mike Habegger now carry on the family business in building supplies, hardware, and reclaimed barn wood. They remember the days of swinging from rope ladders, visiting the farm, and entering these barns. This is a venture that is both personal as it is an attempt to preserve a portion of these majestic structures before it is too late. Working with Amish craftsmen, we have reclaimed antique barn beams, siding and hardwood lumber from these enduring structures.
Enjoy the following pictures of the Dunwiddie Barn—this barn held memorable moments for many in the area and sadly over the years fell into a state of disrepair. Fortunately, the Habeggers were able to reclaim much of the original material to be used for projects in your home.
